The Venture Café community, committed to the mission of “Connecting Innovators to Make Things Happen,” has brought about numerous “Happenings” in the past. The City of Yokohama is actively promoting initiatives to drive economic growth by attracting and supporting startups from Japan and around the world. On this occasion, in conjunction with a visit to Japan by startups from Germany, an emerging European startup hub, we will host a pitch event in collaboration with Start2 Group, an international startup support organization.
- German startups will present their latest solutions through a series of pitches!
- In addition, Start2 Group will share insights on the benefits of collaborating with overseas startups, as well as key points to consider when engaging in international partnerships.

Dr. Ben serves as the Lead Faculty for the MIT IDEAS program and a Senior Facilitator at the United In Diversity Foundation (UID). He started his career as an engineer, sales expert and succeeded his own startup venture (and also experienced the failure). After acquiring his Ph. D, he served a faculty position on entrepreneurship and business in Singapore Management University. Since MIT IDEAS Indonesia started in 2008, he hold the lead faculty role.

Alex is a specialist in business incubation, supporting both domestic and international startups in their global expansion. He has collaborated on innovation initiatives with governments and organizations across multiple countries and has served as a mentor in numerous startup acceleration and development programs. His key roles include serving as a Tokyo Metropolitan Government Startup Fellow, the Japan Representative of Start2 Group and the Operation Manager of Endeavor Japan. ビジネスインキュベーションのスペシャリストとして、国内外のスタートアップのグローバル展開を支援。各国の政府機関や組織と連携したイノベーション施策に携わり、数多くのスタートアップ支援・アクセラレーションプログラムでメンターを務める。主な役職として、東京都スタートアップフェロー、Start2 Group日本代表、Endeavor Japanオペレーションマネージャーなど。

Today, the World’s ecology is changing at unprecedented speed resulting in volatile and uncertain business growth and profitability.
Consequently, our decision making process in taking the step in life is complex and ambiguous.
Business, government and civil society (Tri-sector) leaders are expected to carve a niche in transforming Better Business Better World and make an indelible mark in the overall growth in Asia Pacific.
The role of Tri-sector leaders is of prime importance for the overall growth in Asia Pacific countries.
IDEAS Asia Pacific is the “SDGs Action Learning Lab on Transformational Systems Leadership for Better Business Better World”
IDEAS-ism is the foundational philosophy of IDEAS Asia Pacific Fellowship.
It is concerned with the collective creation of wealth by building trust for our common future through tri-sector collaboration.
In this session, the faculty and participants of this program, currently being held in Yokohama, will engage in a live talk based on the theme. We warmly invite you to join us.

Dr. Ben serves as the Lead Faculty for the MIT IDEAS program and a Senior Facilitator at the United In Diversity Foundation (UID). He started his career as an engineer, sales expert and succeeded his own startup venture (and also experienced the failure). After acquiring his Ph. D, he served a faculty position on entrepreneurship and business in Singapore Management University. Since MIT IDEAS Indonesia started in 2008, he hold the lead faculty role.

Alex is a specialist in business incubation, supporting both domestic and international startups in their global expansion. He has collaborated on innovation initiatives with governments and organizations across multiple countries and has served as a mentor in numerous startup acceleration and development programs. His key roles include serving as a Tokyo Metropolitan Government Startup Fellow, the Japan Representative of Start2 Group and the Operation Manager of Endeavor Japan. ビジネスインキュベーションのスペシャリストとして、国内外のスタートアップのグローバル展開を支援。各国の政府機関や組織と連携したイノベーション施策に携わり、数多くのスタートアップ支援・アクセラレーションプログラムでメンターを務める。主な役職として、東京都スタートアップフェロー、Start2 Group日本代表、Endeavor Japanオペレーションマネージャーなど。
IDEAS主任教員。インドネシアUnited in Diversity財団シニア教員、MIT IDEASプログラム主任教員以外にもU理論の普及団体Poresencing Institute(PI)にて様々な国際的プロジェクトのシニアファカルティを歴任。PIやUIDを通じて、国連等の国際機関のサポートも実施。
