概要 | Description：

サーキュラーデザインは、「設計」から始まるものではなく、都市に残された不完全さから始まるデザインです。
本セッションでは、都市から生まれる廃棄物を活用してアート作品や家具を制作する活動「Rethink 廃材」のキュレーター・福垣慶吾ジュリアンさんと、展示会や商空間などリアルな場の体験価値をデザインしてきた株式会社博展の鈴木亮介さんをお迎えし、廃材を起点に空間や体験をどのように再編集できるのかを考えます。
廃材は、単なる制約や余りものではなく、使われてきた時間や記憶を宿した存在です。それらを「問いを生むメディア」として捉え直したとき、人・場・素材のあいだにどのような関係を編み直すことができるのでしょうか。
廃材を通して、都市と創造性の新しい関係を探ります。

Reweaving experiences from waste materials left behind in the city
Design beginning from imperfection.
Circular design does not begin with perfect plans. It begins with the imperfections already present in our cities.
In this session, we welcome Keigo Fukugaki, creative director of Re-think Haizai (Waste Materials), and Ryosuke Suzuki of Hakuten Corporation, who designs experiential spaces for exhibitions and commercial environments. Together, they will explore how discarded materials can become a starting point for reimagining spaces and experiences.
Waste materials are not simply leftovers or constraints. They carry the time, use, and memories embedded in the city itself.
By reframing waste as a “medium that sparks new questions,” this session invites us to reflect together:
What new relationships might emerge between people, places, and materials? And how might designing with what already exists reshape the future of creativity in cities?

    資源循環を軸に、イベントや空間づくりにおける環境配慮型の仕組みの開発と実装を推進している。
    Ryosuke is the Head of the Circular Design Room in the Sustainability Promotion Department at Hakuten Corporation. He leads the development and implementation of environmentally conscious systems for events and spatial design, focusing on resource circulation.

  • BnA株式会社 デザインディレクター「Rethink 廃材」キュレーター
    都市の廃材を、アートやデザインを通じて文化的価値へと転換する取り組みを行っている。
    Keigo is a Design Director at BnA Inc. and curator of “Re-think 廃材 (Haizai),” an art initiative that transforms urban waste into art and furniture, exploring new cultural value through design.
